1 Samuel 4:1-5

The Bible says in 1 John 1:9.… If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The word “confess” means “to agree with God; to look at our sin the way that God looks at it; to feel the same way God feels.” This is where a great conflict arises in the life of the Christian. Because of our pride, we don’t want to agree with God about our sinfulness. Instead we try to justify, rationalize, glamorize, sanitize, tenderize, and deodorize our disobedience and rebellion toward God’s Word thinking all will be well and we won’t feel guilty or bad.
