1 Samuel 14:1-45

Saul’s first defeat came because he ran ahead of the Lord. His second defeat came because he hesitated and failed to act promptly when the Lord was ready to give a great victory. In chapter fourteen, we see Jonathan is the real hero, not Saul. In the end, Saul would have his own son executed.
