1 Samuel 2:3-10

In our last message, we left Hannah rejoicing. She left her only son at the temple because she promised him to the Lord. She has kept her promise, her vow, and she is rejoicing in the Lord. Her love for the Lord was greater than her love for her own son. Because of this, she had a joy that could not be taken away. If the source of your joy is in your kids, you’ll lose it when they grow up, and the nest is empty. If the source of your joy is in your spouse, you’ll lose that joy when he or she dies. Put your joy in the Lord.
