1 Samuel 7:3-4

Have you ever had times in your home where things begin to collect and clutter, and you find yourself constantly moving things to walk through a hall or a room? After a while, you just have to stop. The cry of your life is, “That’s enough! Before I do anything else, I’m going to clean this mess. It’s time to clean the house!”

Such was the case in Israel. The nation was cluttered with idolatry, immorality, and indifference toward God. Samuel’s message to God’s people was, “It’s time to clean house.”
