Luke 1:46-49
Mary was thrilled with what the Lord had done for her. Her very soul and inner being magnified and praised the Lord. She found great rejoicing in the Lord her Savior. The mother of Jesus acknowledges here that she needed a Savior like everyone else. She was not perfect or sinless. She did not have any power to cleanse a person of their sins. It was an honor for her to be the mother of Jesus, but the honor does not mean she should be worshipped or have prayers offered to her.
