Judges 7:9-15
Israel has been tormented for seven years by the Midianites. They have ravaged the land and the people. God has chosen Gideon to overthrow this enemy. Gideon mustered up an army of 32,000 men to fight against 135,000 Midianites. God considered Gideon’s army too large and through several tests, the army has been pruned to 300 men. The odds against them are 450 to one, and now it’s time to make a move.
