1 Samuel 28:7-25

In the lst chapter, we found Saul outnumbered and unanswered. The Philistines have amassed for battle. Saul is scared to death and goes to God looking for answers only to find that heaven is silent. His prayer is a mockery because his attitude throughout his reign has been one of defiance and disobedience toward God’s will. So what will Saul do now? Instead of confessing his sin, repenting, and seeking God’s forgiveness for his rebellion, he turns to Satan’s crowd for answers, just like David did when he sought refuge with King Achish. The following events become a benchmark chapter of the Bible as Saul visits the Witch of Endor.
