Ruth 1:19-22

Today, I had a cousin from Ohio come by, and we shared memories – looking at old pictures and wondering about folks that we haven’t seen in a while. As we recounted old times, we would stop and think, “I wonder what happened to so and so.”

I imagine the people in Bethlehem had similar conversations about Elimelech and Naomi in the years after their departure. As we read about Naomi’s difficult return to Bethlehem, we can learn at least two things to apply to our own lives.
