Ruth 2:1-16
In the days of Ruth, poverty was exceedingly more common than today. Yet, there were no assistant centers for the poor. From the beginning, God commands his people to take care of impoverished people. In Leviticus 19:9-10, God instructs the Israelites to purposely leave some of the harvest in the fields for the poor and the stranger.
As we study the section of Ruth, we will see three ways God uses poverty in persecution.
